Michael "C-Scripture" Chiphwanya was born on 5th June 1994 in Blantyre, Malawi. With a great passion for music Michael developed interest in poetry and literature and at a young age of 8 he began attempting to write his own works. Inspired by the 90's Hip-Hop legend Tupac Shakhur, Michael became a Hip-Hop fanatic and absorbed himself in the genre by exploring its history and for Michael it became more of a lifestyle than mere lyrics.
Michael recorded his first song at age 12 with a local Hip-Hop group in Blantyre then known as "CORAG ARMY" and for 3years he was part of these group which included artists; Genetix-1, DQ (Diamond Quality), KNJ & Inkosi. C-Scripture was briefly part of Nyali Muzik in the 2010 through early 2011.
C-Scripture's first solo album was "Before Grace" which was originally a mixtape then changed to an album but due to lack of funds and other inconveniences it was released as an "Extended Play (EP)" on 29 August 2011. The project brought attention to the young artist in his home country with songs like "Faith", "Stay Back", "Tha Streetz" & "Light A Fire". December 29, 2012. C-Scripture released "Just To Let You Know" his 9 Track album which was received with positive reviews both in Malawi and across Southern-Central Africa, with songs "Just To Let You Know", "Tell em[Fire]", and "Twilight" being favorites.
C-Scripture has opened stages for U.K.'s "Jahaziel" & "Tru2DaName" and Malawi's "Gosple".
