Biography

Born in Lilongwe, Malawi, Artistic OP did not grew up in a musical family. He started to get to grips with music when he discovered hip-hop. This gave him a sense of belonging and Hip-hop was his musical family. He kept on nodding his head to a song everyday all day all the way from primary school to secondary school. Then he started composing his own songs after writing his MSCE exams in 2014. Later, in 2015, he resumed his school career studying marketing at the Malawi Assemblies of God University (MAGU). Where He gave his life to Christ and exercised his life as an artist through engaging in different performance arts. He also began to showcase his talent in various venues across Lilongwe as a solo artist. During his studies he managed to release his first project “Prodigal Son EP” in November of 2018 which contains a message of forgiveness and reconciliation. His goal is to be artistic often and who he claims to be, “Artistic OP”
