Biography

DS Daniel Gondwe, (born 14 January 1995), a hip hop artist from Karonga but currently based in Lilongwe, Malawi. A new kid in town as far as music industry is concerned, but with passion and big dreams towards taking Malawian Hip hop to the next level. On stage the name is “DS” also known as Mwalawapalegeni. *Mwanafyafyafyaaa* it’s his starting raping slogan, as Mwanafyale (Ngonde word) meaning; highly respected. He developed interest in hip hop music way back around 2015, where in the same year managed to drop a love tune titled Only one with Hazjey, but due to other personal circumstances it then forced him to change his music plans. The plans were deliberately switched after realizing that, there was just a lot on the table required of him then. Until 2017, the only time he believes its right to begin bringing everything in practice. Here now with Chete chete featuring T-Smooth, and Dare devils on the beat. The other side of his story besides being an artist he also studied Accounting, precisely a Bachelor degree at Exploits University. Hip hop music always remains his best hobby, and internationally he is being inspired by Tyga, Wiz Khalifa but in Malawi Krazie G, Young Kay, and GD. These are the only people who have huge influence on his music.
