Agatha Malunda (born on February 21, 1998) known professionally as Da Proph in the music industry, is a Malawian female rap Artist based in Blantyre city.
She did her Secondary Education at Chichiri Secondary school and then afterwards joined the Polytechnic, Continuing Education Centre where she attained her Diploma in Journalism in 2018.
Da Proph developed a passion for rap music when she was in Secondary school after listening to a couple of songs from International rap artist, T.I. She released her first song titled “nothing but grace” in 2014 and since then she hasn’t kept a distance from the mic.
Apart from rapping, Da Proph is also an award-winning writer and published Author. She published her first book titled “Thunder in the Desert” in January 2021.
Before publishing the book, Da Proph won a number of writing awards. In 2018, she won her first award as the most improved Author in the 2018 FMB-MAWU Short story awards. In 2019, she won third place in the Tikonzekere arts poetry contest and in the same year she won an award as the most imaginative Writer in the FCB-MAWU Short story awards.
In 2020, she won fourth place in the ibua journal Packlight series poetry submissions. The female rapper hopes to keep her voice alive through music and writing.
