Fretcher was born in mwanza's family from northern part of Malawi he is the first born in family of four children.he started music with his cousin K-man unlike most of the musicians Fretcher have never been a member of any choir thou he happens to be ccap church member he developed the love of music since birth ,he enjoyed listening to music by 50 cent and snoop dogg ,he always wished to once be like them
