The year 2014 marked a significant milestone for Joel, as he recorded his first song in his hometown of Kasungu. His musical talent and hard work did not go unrecognized, as he was crowned the Best Upcoming Artist of the year at the prestigious Amzeru Akum'mawa Awards in Kasungu in 2019, gaining popularity for his hit song titled "Tidya." Joel's success continued to soar, with 2020 granting him the title of Best Hip Hop Artist of the Year at the same awards. His dedication to his craft and ability to captivate audiences culminated in 2021, when he released his single titled "Ndiukile Bwanji," which received a momentous premiere on the renowned "Made on Monday" show on Radio 2 FM.
