Jillz is a platinum selling Malawian-born musician, raised
in in South Africa & Namibia. In the early days of his
childhood, he gained most of his musical influences and
where he began playing around with live band
instruments, becoming talented in drums. Opening for
reggae bands in Malawi when he was only 7-years-old. In
the years that followed, Jillz began to record and
compose his own music and later began producing for
other artists when he was 16-years-old.
Jillz has worked with plenty of award-winning-artists and
producers from Malawi. After moving to South Africa in
2018, Jillz has worked with countless artists from Africa
and the UK such as DJ Sliqe, Mr Kamera, J.R., DJ Dimplez,
Ali Keys, Reason, Rowlene, Sho Madjozi, Lady Zamar,
Lapsley, and many more which include his favourite
upcoming artists. He has worked with major labels like
Universal and Warner as an artist and producer. He is
credited for producing Casper Nyovest’s first hit, “Move
For Me”.
Jillz released his 1st Mixtape in 2020 called ‘The Boys
Slept On (TBSO)’, which later had a follow-up joint EP with
Benny Chill called ‘Waterbreak 2’ in 2021.
