Biography

Keifa, real name Peter Kingsley Nyama is a Malawian Contemporary and Urban Gospel Music Artist. Growing up in a church, Keifa became more passionate about Music and serving the Lord from a very young age. He joined a Sunday School Choir in his local CCAP Church at the age 7, and was a member of a Praise Team throughout his teen age . In high School, Him and 3 other friends formed an acapella music group which run for 2 years and ended after graduation. He was later invited to join a hip hop Music group, 'Salvation Clique' where he was one of the lead singers and recorded a few songs with teammates. Formerly known as 'Peter King', Keifa adopted the latter name which is just a Hebrew translation for his real name, to be a symbol of growth and his dedicated life to the gospel music as a ministry. He makes music that revolves around the life of Jesus christ and of hope. Inspired mostly by the local Artists, Keifa also wants to keep their legacy flowing and revive the art of those that died. Grace Chinga, Lucius Banda, Dustin Kapitapita, Lulu, Chitheka and Mussa family are a few of the Music icons and groups he grew up listening to. Mercy me, Casting Crowns, Nsync, and the West life also shaped his music and writing quite a lot. "I want my music to help you become more intimate with Christ and give you hope in your hopelessness and sadness".
