Luwayo Biswick (born 15 August 1986), better known by his stage name Luwayo, is a Malawian gospel reggae artist, songwriter composer, arranger and singer. His interest in the reggae dancehall genre was influenced by the likes of Bob Marley, Culture, Morgan Heritage, The Black missionaries and Late Gift Fumulani. Luwayo Biswick grew up a Christian and spent most of his time singing in a choir. For over 20 years Luwayo has been on the lead of every choir he had sung with. In 2002 Luwayo joined his brother’s music group by that time known as The Black scorpions. Luwayo and his brother were the lead vocals of the band. Then in 2006 Luwayo and his brother released a single reggae ( Mzowawitsa ) tune for promotion then later in 2007 Luwayo and his brother released 6 singles for promotion as well where he got very popular with the song titled Helicopter squadron . Luwayo has been hired mostly by churches to perform copyright songs live in different churches, schools and colleges across Malawi.
