Biography

Marion Phuxy is a Malawian musician. His real name is Precious Maliyoni, but he is also known as Phuxy MW. Mariona Phuxy is an Afro Hip Hop artist originally from Ntcheu District, under Traditional Authority Kwataine. Born on February 2, 1991, Phuxy is the fifth-born in a family of six children and is currently 34 years old. Growing up in Bangwe, Blantyre, Phuxy discovered his passion for music in 2011, influenced and motivated by his close friends, most of whom were producers and musicians. This supportive environment inspired him to pursue his musical journey. Currently, due to work commitments, he resides in Chikwawa, Nchalo, where he proudly represents himself as a Nchalo artist. Phuxy’s debut single, "Thandiwe", was a collaboration with Sonic Audio, produced by Bless at JK Records, with a video directed by Cash in Transit Pictures. Following this, he released his second track, "Kazipita", produced by Structic Raine. His third track, "Nthawi", was produced by Ben K and Gaffa, while his fourth track, "Uno", was a collaborative effort with Yuzy and Ben K. One of his most notable collaborations was with Thimfu, J-No, and Dod-G on the track "Aliphe", produced by Sterm Records. This collaboration marked a significant milestone in his musical career. Phuxy Malawi continues to make waves in the Afro Hip Hop scene, blending his passion and unique style to create captivating music.
