Owen Chirwa

Biography

Owen Chirwa is a Malawian police officer and one of the lead vocalists of the Malawi Police Orchestra Band. Despite a challenging upbringing, Owen found solace by joining the Praise Team as a Jazzman in 2010 during his secondary education, helping him forget his problems. He later pursued music, learning instruments like the Piano, lead guitar, Bass guitar, and drums. In 2016, Owen's talent led him to become one of the lead vocalists in the Malawi Police Orchestra Band. By God's grace, he was among the five police band officers selected to study Bachelor of Arts in African Musicology at MUST. During his studies, he ventured into audio production and eventually established his recording studio, OC RECORDS. With support from producers like S-one beats, OBK, Sispense, and Dickez Walker, he recorded most of the songs for his album "Like Joseph The Album." "Like Joseph" is a personal journey where Owen shares his life experiences and expresses gratitude to God for His blessings.
