Mapopa mlauzi aka Pops (born October 07,1997) is a Malawian rapper well -known for his style , a delivery of hip-hop lyrics vernacular chichewa. He is from mzimba, northern region Malawi, he derived his stage name from tribal language tumbuka, which means "someone who gives ",pops started rapping in 2010 as a kid who grew up in the capital city mzuzu. His passion for rap music come when he was std 8 at edingen primary school, where with his hommies cyclone, Paul and chiko they formed a crew called ph boiz they rocked music event every now and then at xool, having free style every time the lights wet off. Hip-hop becomes a huge part of pops life and he grow up in to the rapper he wanted to be, inspired by US rapper lil wayne and locally gwamba, after he first dropped his first single " ukaona kuchedwa " which got first air play on fm 02 radio ( 2019.
