Biography

Phillip Da Poet, real name Phillip Nyangali Phiri is a poet who is expected to graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Blantyre International University (BIU). His poetry journey started way back at Chintheche Private Secondary School in Nkhatabay but it was at BIU where he got into active poetry. He has so far, authored three collections of poems and other single-released poems. He was nominated for Best Writer of the Year at the inaugural 2024 Starlight Poetry Awards. His motivation for crafting poems is that poetry is not only entertaining but also the best way of addressing issues that affect the multitudes on a daily basis and expressing different feelings.
