PHL is simply an abbreviation of Prince Houston Lwanda also known as Prim or Prim C. A leader of some bible study group and a movement called TOUCH LIVES MALAWI and has been a member of R.Eight;35/R.EIGHT NATION, “I live to witness the day when people shall really notice that rap is a genre and that hip hop is a culture. The main challenge for Christian rap is that it is even despised in many churches. It was written in the book that cursed is the one who shall be hung on a tree. I look at Jesus, he was hung on a tree, and he became a curse. The cross was for the cursed people but then today we look up to the cross for our salvation. I relate this scenario to Christian rap as well for it is mixed up with the hip hop culture and as such people say that this genre and the gospel don’t go together. I feel like this scenario isn’t as different as that of the cross because our God is in the heavens and He does whatever He pleases and he uses whatever or whoever he wants to use to save or vindicate people and I believe rap is one of them because personally I have been drawn close to the throne of God through this music as well. “-PHL
