Biography

Shabba Shanton X is a composer, songwriter, vocalist, and leader of Ghetto Spirituals. He is also a secondary school teacher by profession. Originally from Lilongwe, he is currently based in Mangochi. His musical journey began in 2009, but he recorded his first song, Hard-Fought Victory, in 2020. His passion for music was inspired by the lyrics of local artists such as Musamude Fumulani, San Benito, and Annie Matumbi, as well as international reggae icons Glen Washington, Romain Virgo, and Gramps Morgan. Also known as the Yao King among the Yao people in Mangochi, Shabba Shanton X is a reggae artist committed to spreading the gospel of Christ through music in these last days. Ulendo Waku Zion!
