Biography

Twiz Boy, born Steve Katongo, is an Afro-pop musician hailing from Malawi and based in the Mchinji District. His musical journey commenced at a tender age, gaining recognition in 2016 while he was in Form One. The breakthrough came with the release of "Nyasaland Queen," one of his popular songs, propelling him to become the premier artist in Mchinji. The track resonated deeply across Mchinji and surrounding districts in central Malawi, especially among young people who embraced "Nyasaland Queen" as an expression of love. Aside from his notable hit "Nyasaland Queen," Twiz Boy has released other tracks like "Ona," "Misozi," "Pa Iwe," and more. Throughout his musical career, Twiz Boy remains dedicated not only to entertaining but also to inspiring and uplifting his audience. He uses his music as a platform to convey messages of positivity, unity, and cultural pride. Additionally, Twiz Boy is involved in a philanthropic project called "School Support for Development," wherein he allocates a portion of his earnings to pay school fees for needy students around Mchinji Boma.
