Biography

Winani Kazembe Ngwira professionally known as Wenious, is a Malawian hip hop recording artist from Chintheche in Nkhata Bay but based in Blantyre. Wenious started rapping at a young age and continued throughout his educational career. He began his music career as an underground rapper. He was influenced by his uncles Major (Mathews) and Zaza (Mazaza) because they loved hip hop music. In the 90's, his uncles loved artists like 2 Pac, Genius, The Roots, Guru, Scarface and other international hip hop artists. After completing MSCE in 2007, Wenious worked with DjKen LO of Super sound Records, based in Mzuzu. Wenious collaborated with North Side Giants like Chapter, Tissymike, K Bars and 2lla Muhammad. Wenious often raps in his native languages, Chewa, Tonga & Tumbuka. He is considered as "multifaceted rapper" due to the various musical styles he possess.
