Yang Chitika als to known as Yang, is a Malawian Recording Afro-Jazz Singer, Vocalist and Guitarist. Born on 2nd January, 1981, Yang was inspired by Malawian Legendary Singer, Code Sangala in 2006. In 2008, he developed a passion to learn how to play a guitar apart from just being a vocalist. He spent most of his time playing in church band from 2009 to enhance his skills and serve God at the same time. He holds an MBA and BSCIT from Amity University, India and Computer Science Certificate from the prestigious University of Malawi, Chancellor College respectively. It was while at Chancellor College that he started to gain momentum as a performing artist. Yang has worked with some of the prominent artists in Malawi and beyond such as Praise Peterson (SA), Faith Mussa, Lawi, Patience Namadingo, Joshua Matonga, Julius Jules Banda, Erik Paliani, Enerst Ikwanga. He has also performed at high profile events such as Ovation Fusion festival (2017), Tumaini festival (2018), Ufulu festival (2017-2018), Lake of Stars (2018). Rassi Jarrett Dancehall Reggae artiste Rassi Jarrett, most popularly known as 'Rassi' is an exclusively militant Dancehall/Reggae artiste and songwriter whose innovative lyrical contents and flows are forged by his daily experiences. Rassi was born on September 7, 1993 in a small town called 'Bull Bay', which is located in the eastern region of St Andrew. His mother, Paulette Campbell, had to raise eight children."As a single parent, she struggled to ensure that each of us were fed and treated equally" said Rassi; he also elaborated "Mama a mi motivation uzt. She did so much with so little", he chuckled. "I call her my superhero".Life was extremely hectic and rough but Rassi however, decided he was going to change the situation. He started his musical journey while going to Kingston College. The reception wasn't good at first and a lot of persons told him that his voice wasn't competent and music wasn't for him. However, with the approval of a friend and a teacher, Timothy Gordo, known to the world as 'Tommy G', his confidence grew rapidly. Similarly, to the movements of his musical passion was his academics where Rassi left Kingston College and went onto the University of Technology (Utech) where he was pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration which unfortunately lasted two years as he wanted to invest more time in his music. He believes that "every man purpose in life, is to find their purpose in life and I found mine and therefore I will waste no time in the pursuit of achieving my purpose which is to utilize my story to motivate others." The young musical innovator said he respects Dancehall Icons such as: Shabba Ranks, Buju Banton and Vybz Kartel and like these Dancehall legends, he believes that he will contribute to the next evolution of Dancehall music.
