Biography

Zathu is a group of six young Malawians, whose stories reflect the lives of teens as they try to overcome challenges and follow their dreams. There’s Annetti [The Survivor], T-Reel [The Arrogant One], Mphatso [The Strong One], JP [The Sensitive One], Xander [The Good Guy] and Chikondi [The Dreamer]. The band fuses a distinctly Malawian sound with modern beats. Their first single “Zimatere Zimatere” is out now, along with an accompanying music video. You can keep up with their adventures every week on Zathu Pa Wailesi on MBC2 and Zodiak.
